The Persistence API supports the following data types

| PDT_NONE | No value type |
| PDT_STRING | UNICODE null terminated string |
| PDT_BINARY | A free form binary blob |
| PDT_DWORD | A 32bit number |
| PDT_MULTI_STRING | Multiple UNICODE strings. Each string is delimited by a null terminating character and the end of the set of strings it indicated by two null terminating characters |
