Requirements

• Visual Studio 2010 or Visual Studio 2012 development environment.
• WinGate Development Installation installed on the test machine.

Building an example project

1. Setup your development environment

• Download the WinGate SDK from the WinGate website.
• Setup your development environment as described here.

2. Build the example solution

• Create a new project in Visual Studio using the SimpleEngineModule project in the wingatesdk/source/examples directory.
• Compile it. The build stages will setup the new module within your locally running WinGate installation, ready for debugging.

3. Test example module

• Start your local WinGate service
• Open the Dashboard and add a meter connected to the data source "SDK Example Counter"
