The Component API provides services for component and interface management. A plugin cannot interface with a WinGate host without first using the Component API to register itself with said host. Once registered, it can receive events relating to components and the component framework and eventually register public interfaces that interact with the other components in the system. It can also optionally register interfaces if it wishes to make available to other developersit's functionality available via its own API.
